Michael C. Hanna - President
Starting Hanna Design Group Inc. in a one-room office with a part-time assistant in 1992, the objective was to assemble a team of highly skilled architects, designers and general construction experts to serve a growing market looking for support and direction in the ever-challenging retail market.
Michael started his career on the sales floor of a retail store in Michigan. Over the past twenty-five years he has held various executive positions in the specialty, department store and home furnishings industries.
His primary achievements throughout his career have been his ability to surround himself with a strong team of top performers. Known in the industry for his persistence, creativity and decisiveness, he has consistently been part of a management team which was clearly performance driven.
Michael maintains a very active role in the day-to-day business, keeping the team focused on the fundamentals of design and maintaining a highly creative environment
Michael Richardson - Senior Project Manager / Architecture
Mike Richardson has been on the Hanna Design Group team for over 13 years. Mike's architectural background goes back to his Bachelor's of Science degree in Advanced Technical Studies, with an emphasis in Architectural and Structural design. He brought this education to the company and since then he's continued to develop his management and technical skills with HDG's Architectural department.
Maintaining constant contact with our clients, he personally performs functions from Site Surveying, Programming and Design, all the way through final documentation and Administration. Mike has worked with clients from a number of different building sectors, including Retail, Commercial and Industrial. Mike has had the opportunity to work in a number of different environments, rendering Project Management functions at a number of different levels. This broad base of building types has equipped him with both the technical knowledge needed to fully grasp a clients needs and the means to achieve those goals.
Mike approaches each project with a direct, hands-on approach, with an attentiveness given to the unique needs and requests of each client. This not only helps this department, but helps Hanna Design Group as a whole to achieve its highest standards of quality.
Jason Mick - Director of Construction
After serving in the military, Jason attended Northern Illinois University where he received his degree in Organizational Management. Jason has worked in multiple facets of commercial, industrial, residential and retail projects, both local and nationwide. He has unique skills working closely with the client to solve problems and keep his projects on track. His reputation is that of a "firm but fair" manager with subcontractors, demanding exacting standards, tight budgets and critical path performance.
Starting his career with HDG as an estimator he now serves as project manager for all national retail and commercial accounts.
Jason believes in frank, personal contact with clients, ensuring that schedules are maintained and issues are quickly resolved.
Laurie Albright - CFO
Laurie has been on the Hanna Design team since 2000. She came to us with over 12 years of experience in managing accounting departments. Prior to that, her background was 10 years in retail management. Laurie started with HDG as the Accounting Manager then quickly took the role of Operations Manager & Accounting Manager. Her challenge was to coordinate & expedite information flow from the field to the office and establish forms to do so.
Laurie now has systems in place for both the accounting control and expediting our close outs.
