Starting Hanna Design Group Inc with a one-room office and a part-time shared assistant in 1992, the objective was to assemble a team of highly skilled, experienced designers, architects, and general construction experts to serve a growing market looking for support and direction in this ever-challenging retail market.
Michael Hanna started his career on the sales floor of a retail store in Michigan. Over the past twenty-five years he has held various executive positions in the specialty, department store and home furnishings industries.
His primary achievements throughout his career have been his ability to surround himself with a strong team of top performers. Known in the industry for his creativity and decisiveness, he has consistently been part of a management team which was clearly performance driven.
Michael maintains a very active role in the day-to-day business, keeping the team focused on the fundamentals of design and maintaining a highly creative environment.
Daniel Tessarolo - Vice President / Senior Architect
Dan is an architect with over ten years of experience in retail, restaurant and residential design and construction. This variety has enabled him to adapt to each unique project and work with various clients to insure a cohesive design and thorough construction documents.
Although Dan’s main focus is to communicate and follow up with information to clients, engineers and his production staff, his education at the University of Illinois was based on architectural design. His design ability is most evident with several projects published in international trade magazines and books such as Restaurant Design 3 and Hospitality Design Magazine.
Architecture requires a team player attitude. Whether it is meeting a tight deadline, researching new building codes or working with the contractor to solve a problem in the field, the architect’s success is determined by how he uses his knowledge and experience to work with the client to create an efficient, attractive and profitable design.
As an architect working in a Design-Build organization, Dan’s interaction with the construction industry has increased his attention to detail and ability to supervise projects from inception through construction.
